ADAMS, BRIAN

Brian Jacob Adams was born April 27, 1988, in Vancouver Washington, and graduated from Battle Ground High School in 2007. Brian was in the Air Force Junior ROTC at Battle Ground High School. He was a member of the Battle Ground Rose Float Committee and had worked on rose floats for six years. Also, he was a volunteer with the North County Community Food Bank, including this last time while on military leave during August 2009. Brian was also on the Citizens Emergency Response Team in Vancouver, and volunteered with the Battle Ground Relay for Life. He enjoyed family camping trips. 

LCpl Adams proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 7 (CLB-7), 1st Marine Logistics Group at Twentynine Palms, California. CLB-7 provides combat logistics to a Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) maneuver element beyond its organic capabilities to prepare for and sustain combat operations. They Direct Support to 7th Marine Regiment.  

Brian was killed on 26 November 2009 in Morongo Valley, CA. when he was the passenger in a fatal single car automobile accident.   

Brian is survived by his mother and step-father Cynthia Adams and Brian Tow, father and step-mother Richard Adams and Joanie Urciuoli, brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Charlena Adams, step-brothers Aaron Tow and Kevin Urciuoli, grandparents George and Florence Delvo, Don and Yvonne Adams, Clyde and Jeannie Partridge, and Molly Tow, nieces Lillianna Adams and Abigail Plata, and nephews Kolby Adams and Marcus Adams.  

In lieu of flowers the family suggested donations to the North County Community Food Bank or the Battle Ground Rose Float Committee. 

The Washington State Fallen Heroes Project proudly remembers LCpl Brian Adams for his service, sacrifice, and commitment to our nation. His life continues to inspire all who learn his story.
