CAMPBELL, JERROD SHANE

Jerrod S. Campbell was born on 15 April 1986 in Colfax, Washington to Charles Campbell and Shannon Ayers and was a 2004 graduate of Colfax High School. Growing up, Jerrod spent his youth outdoors at his grandparents’ lake cabin, at muzzleloader rendezvous, riding four wheelers, wrestling, and building memories. 

In 2006, Jerrod and his wife Jessica were married at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Uniontown WA, and became the proud parents of three incredible children. 

Sgt Campbell enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2007 where he would specialize as a combat engineer at Camp Pendleton, CA. During his enlistment, Sgt Campbell completed four combat deployments, one to Iraq and three to Afghanistan. For two of his deployments he was assigned to Marine Special Operations Command, MARSOC.  

 He received many awards and commendations which include a Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal. 

Jerrod is survived by his grandparents, Orrin and Mary Kambitsch; parents, Shannon (Dean) Ayers, Charles Campbell; wife Jessica and children Adriana, Jacob and Charlotte; siblings, James (Angela) Campbell, Brandi Campbell, Cameron (Danielle) Peterson, Charity (Shawn) Rodda, multiple nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of choice. 

The Washington State Fallen Heroes Project proudly remembers Sgt Jerrod Campbell for his service, sacrifice, and commitment to our nation. Our hope is that his life continues to inspire all who learn his story.
