LOWELL, JOSHUA

Joshua P. Lowell was born April 19,1977 and grew up at Priest Lake Idaho with his two older brothers David and Matthew.  Josh graduated from Central Valley High School in Spokane, Washington. Josh married his true love and best friend Anicia Lapp in August 1999. Josh passed away on 08 November 2014 as a result of a tragic motorcycle accident.  

TSgt Lowell joined the United States Air Force and proudly served 16 years. During this time, he and his wife had two beautiful children while stationed at Hurlburt Field Air Force Base in Florida.  Josh was a maintenance tech on the MC-130H Combat Talon II.  Their mission provides infiltration, exfiltration and resupply of special operations forces and equipment in hostile or denied territory. Their aircraft supported operations Enduring Freedom, Inherent Resolve and Resolute Support.  

After 7 years they moved to Oklahoma City and spent 9 wonderful years at Tinker AFB raising a family and serving his country. During his time in the service, he deployed multiple times at the military's order and did so with no regret or thought of himself. Several times when a member of his crew was needing to deploy, but family issues was making it a hardship, Josh stepped in and took the deployment. There were several holidays missed at home while he served the extra deployments.  

Josh was an avid animal lover who had 4 dogs, two Turtles and 1 Water Dragon.  

Josh loved to draw any kind of pictures and sketches that he transformed into the most beautiful pieces of art for his family. He was extremely talented and diverse in so many ways. He loved the outdoors and took his family out hiking and exploring new places and teaching his children what the world has to offer.  

He lived a life for others to follow and will be forever missed by his family and friends. The hole that is left in everyone's life with Josh's passing may never be filled but the love he had for his family will carry on for us all to remember.  

Truly he led a life well lived for all to admire.
