PATTON, TAYLER

​Tyler J. Patton was born in Riverside, California on October 28, 1990 to T.J. Patton and Sherri (Laake) Patton. The family moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho shortly after Tyler's first birthday, where he would grow up with his brother Randy and sister Kayla and become a 2009 graduate of the Kootenai Bridge Academy.  

Tyler loved music and was an accomplished guitar player. He dabbled at the piano and was a violinist (and a vegetarian) for a day. As a child, Tyler wanted to go into law enforcement or the F.B.I. Growing up, he used to play Army with his brother and friends and even begged his parents to send him to military school. He loved the outdoors and was always planning his next adventure. He loved to travel and see the world.   

Airman First Class (A1C) Patton followed in his father and grandfathers footsteps and enlisted in the Air Force in 2009 shortly after his graduation. He would go on to become a member of the Air Force Security Forces and was stationed with the 48th Security Forces Squadron in Suffolk, England. A1C Patton completed a 7-month deployed to Afghanistan in September 2010. During his time in service, he made many friends who he considered to be family. 

 

A1C Patton passed away on June 27, 2011 after being struck by a car at Royal Air Force Base, Lakenheath, United Kingdom. Tyler loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and had a great hunger and thirst to study God's word especially over the year prior to his passing. He shared his faith and truly wanted everyone to have the same joy in salvation that he had. His desire was to go to Bible college after the Air Force. Tyler now rests in the Lord’s mansion.
