My Story

~ a place of respite, where food is grown alongside relationship ~

Nestled between Mirabeau Park and the Spokane River, the Heroes Garden offers whatever it is you need – solitude or companionship, ‘hands in the dirt’ therapy or simply sitting in the midst of something beautiful.

Veterans and Gold Star/surviving families can adopt a garden box for the season, come and harvest from the community boxes, or simply come and visit this peaceful place.

Whether you need solitude or companionship, the Heroes Garden offers enough space for both, and we look forward to sharing the fruits of labor made easier (and yummier!) together.

You are welcome here!

Check back soon for 2026 garden box requests, opening dates, and the season's work days. We'd love to see you!
