Fallen Story
Zachary Winston Alley, 27, an Army SPC, of Ft. Benning, Georgia, passed away July 8, 2014 in Columbus, Georgia as a result of injuries from a motorcycle accident. Zachary was born September 22, 1986 in Cherry Point, North Carolina. He graduated in 2004 from Winton Woods High School, Cincinnati, Ohio and joined the U.S. Army in August of 2004. He was assigned to the 4th Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington, at Ft. Benning he was assigned to APEX Platoon, Bravo Troop, 1st Squadron, 16th Calvary Regiment. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Combat Action Badge, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal and Iraqi Campaign Medal where he served two tours.
Zachary is survived by his children Anthony, Scarlett and Vincent Alley. His father and stepmother Jon and Dawn Alley, his mother Joyce Alley-Plott and his siblings Jacob Alley, Emma Plott, Grace Plott and stepbrother Scott Wickemeier. As well as by his precious pups Ramsey, Loki and Hero. Gone but not forgotten and forever loved.
