Fallen Story

Brian Jacob Adams, 21, died in an automobile accident Nov. 26, 2009, in Morongo Valley, CA. Adams was born April 27, 1988, in Vancouver, and graduated from Battle Ground High School in 2007. He was a Lance Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving at 29 Palms, CA. Adams was a passenger in a car on Hwy 62 near 29 Palms. The driver of the car was also killed in the one-car accident. Adams was in Air Force Junior ROTC at Battle Ground High School. He was a member of the Battle Ground Rose Float Committee and had worked on rose floats for six years. He was a volunteer with the North County Community Food Bank and had volunteered with the food bank while on military leave during August 2009. Adams was also on the Citizens Emergency Response Team in Vancouver, and volunteered with the Battle Ground Relay for Life. He enjoyed family camping trips. Survivors include mother and step-father Cynthia Adams and Brian Tow of Battle Ground, father and step-mother Richard Adams and Joanie Urciuoli of Klamath Falls, OR, brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Charlena Adams of Battle Ground, step-brothers Aaron Tow of Everett and Kevin Urciuoli of Oregon, grandparents George and Florence Delvo of Battle Ground, Don and Yvonne Adams of Vancouver, Clyde and Jeannie Partridge of Missouri, and Molly Tow of Everett, WA, nieces Lillianna Adams of Battle Ground and Abigail Plata of Tacoma, and nephews Kolby Adams and Marcus Adams of Battle Ground. Services are scheduled for Sat., Dec. 12, 12:30 p.m., at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, Vancouver. Friends are invited to call Evergreen Memorial Gardens to confirm the service schedule, 892-6060. In lieu of flowers the family suggested donations to the North County Community Food Bank or the Battle Ground Rose Float Committee.
