Fallen Story

SFC Abraham Walter Parmar, 40, of Olympia, WA, died on October 11, 2019 while on active duty, stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord AFB. He was the Senior Brigade Maintenance NCO, for the 308th BSB, 17th Field Artillery Brigade. He had served for 21 years, on 6 combat missions. Among his many awards and commendations are the Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal (7); Army Achievement Medal (3); Kosovo Campaign Medal w/ Bronze Service Star; Iraq Campaign Medal w/5 Campaign Stars; GWOT Expeditionary Medal and the GWOT Service Medal. He is survived by a large and loving family and missed by all who knew him. SFC Parmar is to be interred on the hallowed grounds of Arlington National Cemetery.
